Parenting Pep Talk Series #1 with Lisa Hurst

What is parenting and what is the ultimate main goal in parenting our children?  Today Lisa shares an into to our Parenting Pep Talk series on the value of raising kids who love Jesus, hear His voice, and teaching them how to develop a personal relationship with God. 

Our children have their own individual, unique giftings and talents and we get to help our children discover their own design and guide them on how to use their gifts.  We also teach our kids how to view their weaknesses and develop them into a strength.

It’s easy to get frustrated with the age and stage our kids are at. They will always bring out our  own weak areas, areas that we need to work on.  It’s an opportunity to grow personally as a parent and choose wisely how we are going to respond.

Parenting requires being intentional, consistency, constant regrouping  and being flexible. Most importantly, take time to develop a heart to heart connection with your kids, creating a safe place in our homes where our kids can be themselves, help them to learn how to manage freedom, and learning that there are consequences to behavior, both good and bad.
