• Youth Ministry

Our Youth Ministry includes children and young adults ranging from Junior High to Senior High. This ministry is a safe place for teens to "step out" and use their talents in the church. We strive to create an environment for each teen to grow in relationship or be introduced to Jesus! These ministries meet regularly each month.

  • Small Groups Ministry

Our Small Groups Ministry encourages small discussions based on mutual interests and activities. The vision, character, and flavor of each Small Group is unique.

  • Outreach Ministry

Our Outreach Ministry seeks to take the church outside the walls of our building. This includes assessing the most pressing problems and needs of our wider region, while ascertaining the strengths and gifts we have within the church. We hope to match these areas of gifting and need, and develop new ministries where our gifts can be used to address the needs of our community. We would also like to develop new small groups and new churches that will be sent from Newport Church.

  • Prayer Ministry

We recognize that nothing is accomplished in God’s kingdom apart from prayer. We want to bring awareness to the spiritual battle we are all in each day. Our Prayer Ministry seeks to develop a clear vision and strategy for prayer, while working to see Newport Church become a house of prayer. This ministry will teach and train about prayer, promote prayer events, and encourage others to have a heart of prayer.

  • Worship Ministry

Our goals for worship at Newport are to create a worshipful atmosphere where people can meet with God and connect with him personally, as well as to grow in relationship with Him so that we can be more effective in showing Jesus to others.

  • Prison Ministry

Ministering to Women Behind Bars . . .

Newport’s Prison Ministry Team is composed of dedicated members who bring the message of God’s Love and Promises to the women of Block 5 at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility, Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Each service is filled with scripture, prayer, praise and invitations to surrender to God.

In addition to prayerful planning sessions leading to the bimonthly services, the team heads efforts for the whole church to support Jubilee Ministry’s summer camping opportunities for inmates’ children and special projects at Christmas for the inmates and their families.

If you are called to serve or wish to become a prayer intercessor for this ministry, please contact the church office.

  • Children's Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry focuses on leading children to become lifelong followers of Jesus. This ministry is uniquely designed for children newborn through 6th grade. In these classes Biblical principles and godly values are taught by our trained volunteers and staff. Classes are divided into Nursery, Toddlers, PreK-K, Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, and Grades 5-6.

Newport is a family friendly church. We love children! At Newport, our children's ministry is called KIDSTOWN. In Kidstown, we have classes for toddlers up through grade 6. If your child is not yet toddler age, no worries! In our nursery, located to the right-rear of the main auditorium, your baby (up to age 24 months) will enjoy playing with toys, eating Cheerios (if old enough) and interacting with other children. Nursery is staffed with caring adults who love Jesus and enjoy sharing that love with babies. If your child wants to sleep or you need a bit of privacy for nursing, there are places for that as well. Both the nursing mothers' room and the sleeping baby's room are located in the nursery hallway.

For children ages 2 through grade 6, we have classes that are taught by caring individuals who are ready to share God's love with your child. Our volunteers have received background, criminal, and child abuse history checks. Most of our teachers are parents themselves. All of our teachers understand the importance of instilling Biblical principles and Godly values early in a child's life. Kidstown children are dismissed to classes after worship in the main service.
